Cache No. 5006 – A Rare FTF

I haven’t had an FTF for many years, July 2014 was my last, cache #3316 En Route Through Otley, but when a new multi cache popped up in Ilkley I thought I would go and get the FTF on it

3rd September 2019 – Ilkley Historical Multi #4: South – Darwin Gardens GC8D0A4 – cache #5006
It was another of Sawasawa’s multicaches, 11 different locations to visit, information to be found at each and then some mathematics to work out the final coordinates for the cache…
Or you could just go to the final location, and look for the nearest place that matches the hint – which is of course what I did.

I did then get a nice email from Sawasawa thanking me for finding her cache and saying that it was always a nervous time putting out a complicated cache because until someone found it there was always the fear that there was a mistake in the cache description… I didn’t reply.
And it turns out there was a mistake in the cache, the coordinates she had for the final were wrong so those who did the cache properly, did the maths and used the checker to confirm their answers were in the wrong place !
