Caches No’s 5820 to 5839 – Four More Lab Sets

I would say 4 sets of Lab caches, 4 weekend caching trips except that I was working and it was raining over the last May weekend so I didn’t go out then, and then the next weekend was the double Bank Holiday to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee, so I went out on the Friday and did two sets to make up for missing the previous week. I am beginning to run out of local and easy sets of Lab caches, but there are plenty to go at in Leeds though free parking isn’t very easy to find there

The first set I did was in Guiseley, and I did them backwards according to the title, in that I went to Harry Ramsdens first and the wells last… I also did most of them as virtual drive bys, only the last one needed me to park up and walk

I lived within 3 miles of Harry Ramsdens for 40 years or so, but never went in to the restaurant – though I did go to the takeaway counter a handful of times

The Jubilee weekend was warm and sunny so I went to Skipton and had a walk around the town, and an ice cream.
Then it was on to Keighley for a second set

This first one was well outside the town centre… in fact it was a few minutes drive outside the town centre, but interesting history

The statue of Fred Trueman is near the canal (well isn’t most of Skipton near the canal ?), and next to the statue was an ice cream man… it was a hot day

By now I was having so much trouble with my leg that I had gone to the Doctors, been diagnosed with a problem in the L3 vertebra and had got boxes of pills to help, however I was limping pretty badly and had to walk around Hall Park with a stick and taking time out sitting on benches, as a few minutes sit down and I was good to go for another few minutes, of course the Lab caches took you to each corner of the park so it was about as far round as it could be
