Flash and Grubbly were having a Community Celebration event in Greenhead Park one Saturday morning, so like a few others I went along a bit early to do the parks Lab Caches before the event… not quite early enough to get involved in the Park Run though they were still clearing up when I was walking round…

Today is the 16th May 2023, yesterday I was looking through some old photographs on my phone and came across those I took at the event in Greenhead park on 4/9/21, and realised that I had a photograph of a cache I had never logged… thinking back I could remember finding the cache and knew exactly where it was hidden, but couldn’t remember what cache it was…
So I looked on the Geocaching Map and there was no cache there… so I looked at the records of other cachers whose names were on the log sheet in the photo, and the only cache that seemed likely for it to have been was this mystery cache… So I looked at the puzzle, a Jigidi… It seemed vaguely familiar, but didn’t come up on my list of completed puzzles – however, sometimes I do the puzzles without logging in so I could have done it in the past… The only way to confirm this was the cache was to do the Jigidi again… 540 pieces… 2hrs 50 minutes later and I had the coordinates and hint, which matched exactly where and how I could remember the cache I found was hidden… so I logged it, a mere 20 months late !
This brought up a dilemma in this record… because in reality it was cache #5642, but that would mean renumbering the next 756 caches and throwing the 6000 milestone cache out, a cache that was specially chosen to be the milestone (it is locked on Groundspeaks records so it still shows as the milestone on the Geocaching website)
Thus we get cache #5641(a)

The church is just across the road from the park, so warranted a visit while I was passing nearby… I didn’t have to find the cache as the Hairyfairies (Kevin and Paul) were already there with the cache in hand
