Caches No’s 4813 to 4822 – Hometime Caching Along the Wharfe

There are dozens of local caches that I haven’t found. Looking back at the logs from when I was relatively new to caching there was a time when I had found every cache withing 6 miles of my home – now there are about 250 unfound caches in that distance – so it’s time to start turning them all to smiley faces on the map…
The easiest ones to start with are ones I have to pass on the way to and from work – so we’ll start there, with caches along the banks of the river Wharfe

26th June 2019 – WS#4 Cherry Plum Grove GC85TM8 – cache #4813
The previous cachers had left an unavoidable trail, so it was easy to find

After this I didn’t find GC85TMA WS#5: The Comeback Kite!
As with the other recent cachers I found the hiding place and the camoflage objects but not the cache

26th June 2019 – WS#6: Run Rabbit Run! GC85TMC – cache #4814
This rabbit has a fairly solid door on his warren !
(It’s a water overflow pipe so has a huge metal door on it)

15th July 2019 – WS#5: The Comeback Kite! GC85TMA cache #4815
As the cache has been replaced I stopped off on my way home from work to bag it

16th July 2019 – WRW #18A: Low Mill – Old Lane GC7EJRQ cache #4816
A nice sunny day for a walk along the river

16th July 2019 – WRW#17B: Grey Heron – Deadly Stalker! GC853FG cache #4817
Nice easy find however the access isn’t as easy as it once was – the access gate from the corner of the road as shown in the cache description is now chained and barbed wired shut, I had to go down to cache 18A to get easy access to the river bank

16th July 2019 – WRW #17A: Corridor Bend P’n’G GC7EJRK cache #4818
Took a bit of searching to find the right crevice in the wall

16th July 2019 – WRW #13: Walkers Welcome! GC7EJ8Y cache #4819
Difficult to see under the trees with dark glasses on, but I followed the hint and found it

16th July 2019 – WRW #14: Another One! GC7EJ97 cache #4820
GPS on the phone was a bit dodgy here so I had to look round a bit before I found the right spot

16th July 2019 – WRW #15: Crack Willow GC7EJAH cache #4821
Took a bit of finding, and more than a few nettle stings but I got there in the end.

16th July 2019 – WRW #16: Riverside GC7EJAQ cache #4822
There are a few new hint matching places, I went for the oldest one and found the cache
