Caches No’s 4076 to 4102 – North Wales Mega Part I

So a couple of days after the weekend of two Megas it was time to go to Wales for the 2016 UK Mega, there were lots of people camping, I don’t really have the camping equipment to camp for a week, nor really a tent big enough either – and my tent is about as big as you can comfortably erect on your own anyway, so I stayed in a hotel a couple of miles down the road from the campsite for 4 nights. Caches No’s 4060 to 4068 – A Summer’s Day Caching in Norfolk

July, and my annual camping weekend in Norfolk, unlike previous years I didn’t have a detoured journey to find ‘interesting’ caches and YOSM’s on the way down – mainly beacuse I’ve travelled the route twice a year for all the 7 years I’ve been caching and I have found all the interesting caches and YOSM locations that can be even vaguely described as being ‘on the way’ to Kings Lynn, so instead my trip down involved a couple of stops for shopping instead of stops for caches ! Caches No’s 4052 to 4059 – Christmas Camping in June

Another weekend, another caching event… and definitely a bit further away than I am used to as I went to the Christmas Camp event near Dawlish on Devon’s South coast – it was a long drive down on the Friday, I had planned on finding some caches along the way, but the traffic was just so horrendous I just didn’t have time for anything other than proceeding down the Motorway. I wasn’t camping myself, I had a Guest House booked about 3 miles away from the campsite…

Caches No’s 4049 & 4051 – York and Croft Events

4th June 2016 –  WWFM XIII – Wear Purple For Yorkshire GC6DJ3J – cache #4049
World Wide Flash Mob time, and again the local one is held in York (I’m not sure why the dates keep changing I mean I remember in 2013 it was on Star Wars day, May 4th) here we are a whole month later).
There was a good turn out and a lot of people wearing Purple, both our Mega 2018 shirts and their own purple garments…

Caches No’s 4043 to 4048 – May Caches

2016 was turning out to be my slowest year for finding caches – I’d started off well, 54 caches in January was by far my best year ever, but things rapidly went downhill in the next 3 months. I just couldn’t motivate myself to go out caching alone so had really only found caches when I had been with other people. I had bought a fitness band to count how many steps I was doing and it was averaging about 8K a day. When I was away in Wales for the All things Welsh event I decided that I needed to set a target of 10,000 steps a day, which I thought may give me the motivation  needed to out and doing more caching, but it didn’t really work like this.
