My friend Adam (formerly Diving DJ – now changed his name to UKCacheMag – but that’s another story) have started a little competition to see who can get to the next milestone first. And I was feeling a little unimpressed when he got a 20 cache series set out on his doorstep. In fact I get a little unimpressed when I look at the map as all over the country cache series are springing up with sometimes 8 caches per mile… We don’t have any like that around here.
So when I saw this series set up 25 caches on a walk of about 5 miles I thought I would have to go and do it… then I noticed that a) it was all on paths you could cycle on, and b) all on the flat ! So I thought it was time to get my bike out again and take up cyclecaching again Continue reading

Caches No’s 1486 to 1500 – Bramhope Circular(ish)
A new circuit of caches had been put out round the village of Bramhope which is 3 miles from where I live, so on the Saturday morning I thought I ought to go and start the series, but rather than doing an entire circular walk I thought I’d pick them off as a series of Cache and Dash-es – though in the end it might be a shorter walk to just do it properly ! Caches No’s 1472 to 1485 – Nidd Gorge Walk
A sunny Sunday morning and I thought I would go for a little walk along the banks of the River Nidd just to the East of Harrogate… and find the cache series known as the Nidd Gorge Walk. I’d never been around here before but the roads nearby were full of cars as it is obviously a popular dog walking place… and cycling place, horse riding place etc… Continue reading
Caches No’s 1466 to 1471 – The Dentist and the Mad March Meet IV
I was having a little problem with an abscess under a tooth… it was getting larger and beginning to hurt. This had happened just before Christmas and it had been one of the worst pains I had ever had to endure – until I went to the Dentist and got some Antibiotics and gave them 36 hours to work… then I was alright.
This time I decided that going to the emergency dentist for more antibiotics had better be done sooner rather than later, so I took some time from work to go… Continue reading
Caches No’s 1458 to 1465 – Reservoirs, Woods and Moors
Another few caches had been put out along the banks of a reservoir just a mile or so away from my house, so on a sunny Sunday afternoon I thought I would go grab them as well as some other caches that had appeared in the local area
First of all I had a bad start, I couldn’t find GC3D94J Lindley Wood 1 Continue reading
Caches No’s 1451 to 1457 – The Snape Sneak
A new series of caches had been put out near Harrogate, so on a Saturday afternoon I thought I would have a go at it. The cache setter said it had taken them 2 hours and 40 minutes to go round and set the caches, so I figured that if I set off at at about 2:45 I’d be nearly round before it got dark at 5:30 ish Continue reading
