Caches No’s 4736 & 4737 – 10 Year Anniversary

I first heard about Geocaching from an ex-girlfriend back in about 2003 or 2004. Our relationship had been back in 1989-90 but we had kept in touch on and off over the intervening years. She had moved away in the early 90’s and moved back back to the area and got in touch and we met up one afternoon.

And as happens you start reminiscing and things got steamy, and well she had this thing about doing it in the open, so we went for a drive up the dales and stopped in the middle of nowhere and found this big rock so we would be hidden from the road, and we had removed most of our clothes and were getting down to it when she said it would be just her luck if some of her colleagues came by geocaching.
That was the first time I heard of the hobby, though I didn’t start myself for several years after that

28th May 2019 – Leeds Drink and Chat 17 GC87TJZ – cache #4736
Another good Leeds Drink and Chat, pity they start them so early because by the time I get there many attendees have either already left or are about to.
This event was held in Whitelocks, Leeds oldest alehouse, which dates back to 1715

30th May 2019 – Canker Well – Magic Waters No More GC7D4FG – cache #4737
30th May 2009 was the date I found my first Geocache… And so today on my 10th Anniversary I went out to find this cache, which I have now found three times !

It was my 38th cache back in July ’09 as GC11Q8C ‘The Canker Well’, and then when that cache was archived and replaced I got the FTF with my 3264th find on GC5612B ‘Canker Well’ in June 2014.
Today it is my 4737th cache
