Caches No’s 3804, 3805 & 3806 – Filling the 8th Month

When you’ve found almost all the local caches you have to travel a little further to fill those blank days on the calendar, this isn’t a problem now as I still have a few caches within half an hour of my journey home from work, but come the end of Novermber and December when it is dark at 5:00pm and there are no caches left to go for then it may be a problem to get a cache on the blank days… we’ll have to see, maybe someone will put out a nice easy 20 cache series in Ilkley that I can grab one a day from… but I doubt it.
Anyway the last few blank days in September were filled up with two caches that took me an 8 mile detour on my way home from work and one Saturday afternoon cache that had been bugging me for years

17th September 2015 – Engine Fields GC5V7QV – cache #3804
I had a blank day on my cache finding calendar so I took a diversion on my way home from work to find this one, in a little oasis of peace between a housing estate and an old mill, with the mill stream winding through

18th September 2015 – The Old Moorfield Mill GC5P41H – cache #3805
Another quick find on my way home from work… on an industrial estate in Yeadon

19th September 2015 – Buck Wood, Dawson Wood No.4 – A slippery slope?! GC46XGG – cache #3806
Over the last 3 years I have been to look for this cache 4 times and failed to find it… I’d even done a proper DNF on one visit cos the cache just wasn’t there (see cache #2961 – curious that when the CO went on a walk around the series 3 days after my DNF he said it was still there)
Today I thought I’d have another go, and there it was, an easy find, in exactly the place that it’s not been on the previous visits I have made.

And that cache fills up the 8th month on my caching calendar
