Caches No’s 2376 & 2377 – A Full Row of Green

The day following my trip to Rugby I had another gap in my calendar to fill so had to decide which cache to go for, in the end I was swayed by a new cache that had been placed the day before, on Ilkley Moor. It had been found the day before too so there wasn’t a First-To-Find up for grabs, just a relatively flat walk along from the nearest parking spot

24th February 2013 – Panorama Reservoir GC – cache #2377
A nice walk along the moors on a Sunday Morning.
Driving to and from the car parking spot nearest the cache I was in danger of running down dozens of runners of all ages who were taking part in a cross country running event on the moor nearer the town centre and seemed to have no concern of the fact that there was any traffic on the road…

25th February 2013 – A Neolithic Geocaching Adventure GC – cache #2378
This is a ‘Wherigo’ cache, which is another type of mystery/multi cache, you load the details into your GPS and when you get to a particular set of coordinates the next set are revealed and so on until you get to the final hiding place of the cache… I cheated and did it on a GPS emulator at home so I had the final co-ordinates before I set out, which is a good job as there was a blooming cold wind blowing up on the moor, but at least the ground was permafrost rather than mud. I quickly found and signed the cache (the box is hown in the headline picture… and I have a full month of green squares for February
