Angel78 and I had a weekend in Suffolk, it was a last minute thing, her father had the weekend booked but because of reasons couldn’t go, so Angel asked if I would like to go with her instead.
Now Suffolk is a county I have never been to before, (there is only one other – the Isle of Wight) so I quickly arranged things and off we went.
Caches No’s 5641(a) to 5648 – Caching Community Celebration in Huddersfield
Flash and Grubbly were having a Community Celebration event in Greenhead Park one Saturday morning, so like a few others I went along a bit early to do the parks Lab Caches before the event… not quite early enough to get involved in the Park Run though they were still clearing up when I was walking round…
Caches No’s 5635 to 5641 – Taking the Waters in Ilkley
A new set of Lab caches appeared in Ilkley, all to do with Ilkley being sort of a Spa town – it was fashionable for a time in the Victorian era to come to Ilkley and ‘take the waters’ and several big hotels or ‘Hydros’ were built.
Notable visitors to Ilkley for this included Charles Darwin
Caches No’s 5597 to 5634 – London Calling – Part II
We had ambled along from Westminster to St Katharines Docks on the North side of the river, now Kerry and I had limited time so we split form the rest and carried on a little faster, first doing the caches around St Katherine’s Docks and then crossing Tower Bridge to return to Westminster doing the caches along the South bank of the river
Caches No’s 5567 to 5596 – London Calling – Part I
London Calling, the first Mega event ever held in the centre of London… well I’m no fan of the capital, but I wasn’t going to miss out on a Mega event.
So, early on Saturday morning… early for me at least, before 7:00am anyway, I drove to Menston railway station to start my journey to that London on the 07:02 train.
Caches No’s 5561 to 5566 – A Walk Around The Tarn
A little walk around Yeadon Tarn after work to get this new(ish) set of Lab Caches that had appeared.. a straightforward set, nothing really to say about them other than that they were there !
Oh, and to say that Yeadon tarn seems to have developed the name Tarnfield Park, presumably by the council trying to promote it’s leisure facilities
