Caches No’s 4461 to 4464 – Three More Events

After the Devon Mega things got back to normal, no caching trips, just events.

10th August 2017 – SideTracked Day 2017 – Finningley. GC76XNQ – cache #4461
It’s a long way to get 50 miles to an event when the event starts at 6:00 and you work until 5:00 – so most of the fun was over before I got there, but I enjoyed the drive anyway and collected a few things that had come back from the mega in Kerry’s car.
Sidetracked day celebrates the Sidetracked series of caches which are hidden near Railway Stations, so Kerry got the attendees all out of the pub to the level crossing before I got there

3rd September 2017 – Hyke Around Hykeham 6 GC76MT5 – cache #4462
Another September trip to Lincoln for one of the larger ‘local’ events of the year, there was a cache series put out, but we spent all the time in the hall at our purple stand

3rd September 2017 – Lincolnshire Remembrance: North Hykeham GC79CKN – cache #4463
Going through my records over Christmas and realised I had never logged this cache, found after the HaH6.
Well when I say found, it was handed to me and I signed the log and handed it to the next cacher in line (even if the cache was a red ceramic gnome !)

1st October 2017 – Hell Wath CITO GC7C15V – cache #4464
Catching up on logs I missed – I was there for the clear up , and was thanked by a Dog walker who walks the paths everyday, they were really pleased that we had taken an interest in cleaning the small amount of litter up.
Like all CITOs these days people only really do them for the souvenir
