Trigpoint S1872 – Caley Deer Park

This trigpoint was one I had visited before to claim as a YOSM geocache. It’s also probably the trigpoint I have visited most times in my life as it’s in the forest park on the opposite side of the valley to where I live. I am a bit disappointed these days as it used to be in a wide fire break ‘ride’ in the forest, but since the Forestry Commission cut backs there are no permanent Foresters here so the forest park is overgrown and in a poor state compared to how it used to be when as 14-15 year olds we spent the afternoon trying to see how many people we could get perched on the top of the pillar. I think we managed 6, my brother has some photo’s of it somewhere
