Petrol, Wells and Quarries – Caches No’s 340 – 342

April 7th 2010 – Off Yer Trolley! (Guiseley – Wot No Supermarket) GC1B2MX – Cache #340
A supermarket petrol station on a busy main road, for some reason at lunchtime they were queueing out onto the road which made it quite difficult to be unobserved logging this one… I used the shoe lace tying trick to disguise what I was really doing

April 8th 2010 – Archie’s Walk #2 – The Well GC1HHAE – Cache #341
This should have been a nice easy lunchtime cache… except I couldn’t find the cache, and somewhere along the line dropped my PDA cover (and then was 10 minutes late back from lunch !)
I finished work on time for once and so had time to go back and retrace my steps, find the PDA cover, and find the cache when I lifted what had appeared to be a fastened down cover when I tried it at lunchtime

April 8th 2010 – Archie’s Walk #1 – The Quarry GC1HH9X – Cache #342
After the previous cache I had to pass this site of this cache on the walk back to the car
The trouble with Memorymap is that when your position cursor is exactly on top of the cache position on the screen which in turn puts you on top a a big rock just off the footpath, exactly as the hint says the cache is supposed, the thing to remember is that you still might be looking in the wrong place !
After searching all round I eventually widened my search area and found it all of 12 feet away from where I had convinced myself it must be !

So which rock is it under ?

Next day I tried and failed to find GC1N2NY A (short) Walk in the Woods – another cacher logged it the day before saying he had spotted the cache but couldn’t retrieve it from it’s hole, so maybe not surprising I couldn’t find it in my 10 minute lunchtime search
