Caches No. 3 & 4 – Found on my way home from work

June 3rd 2009 – Terry’s Lunchbox GCXYJ9 – Cache #3
Do you take the long walk up the hill to the cache ? or the short walk down the hill ?
I admit I took the easy route !

Over the other side of town to me was a railway line, axed by Dr Beeching in 1965, most of this line is now built over, there’s the towns bypass on it, or it is buried in a landfill site, but there is a bit of the line left which is quite a nice public footpath, as the picture shows – and I knew nothing about it until I went looking for the two caches on it.

I only found one of the caches, at this point I was still using a bluetooth GPSR and a PDA (a different bluetooth unit – I had upgraded to a Sirfstar III chipset for greater accuracy) and unfortunately the battery on the PDA died before I could find the second one.
